Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of organizations qualify for pro bono services?
We only have 2 requirements for qualification:
- You are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
- You are helping mankind or the world to be a better place.
How long will it take to complete my order and get my postcards?
From application to delivery, expect a turnaround time of 3 weeks. To ensure the process moves as quickly as possible, we advise you to have a few things on hand and ready to be provided to your account manager, including: a high-res version of your logo, any high-res photos you would like to use, what you want to your postcard to say and/or offer, and your nonprofit permit already registered with the USPS (if you’re mailing your postcards).
Are there any limitations to how many postcards I can receive or how often I can apply?
Yes. We limit pro bono donations to 5,000–10,000 postcards per nonprofit per year. This allows us to help more charitable organizations and causes without straining resources.
Can you donate postage or shipping?
Certain costs are out of our control, and this includes shipping or postage. We use FedEx Ground to ship all cards. Postage is charged by the United States Postal Service (USPS) for the logistics of delivering mail to mailboxes nationwide. We are happy to donate all services leading up to the USPS’s handling and delivery of your mail, but are unable to cover the cost of postage or shipping. These costs will be collected after your postcards are printed. Alternatively, you are welcome to pick up your postcards during regular business hours.
If I want to mail my postcards, how do I do that?
It depends on who you want to reach. If you want to mail to your own list, you are welcome to provide us with your list via CSV file or Excel spreadsheet. We will use this list to address your postcards pro bono and will collect postage on behalf of the USPS before mailing.
If you want to reach people in your surrounding area — for example, families with children, young professionals, homeowners, or more — we can help you acquire a mailing list. Please indicate who you would like to reach on your application.
If you wish to mail your postcards and reduce your postage cost, you first have to register your nonprofit with the USPS and obtain a nonprofit mailing permit. Apply using this form. We advise you to do this right away, since approval will take about 2 weeks.
