Brian Penner is a Medicare insurance agent located in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was looking for a creative way to let older residents know about his service so he contacted PostcardMania for ideas.
The Solution
He went with a postcard design that featured his headshot on the postcard. Our designers worked with Brian on the his postcard’s design to ensure it had the best chance at succeeding – one key point being to include his photo so that recipients know they’ll be working with a human being, and not just another large insurance agency that will treat them like a number.
Brian Penner’s postcard design included:
- An offer for a free insurance quote.
- Multiple forms of contact listed to give the recipient the flexibility to contact how they choose.
- A 5-star review from a previous client.
Because Brian Penner sells Medicare insurance, he needed to target groups of people that would need it the most. So, he used mailing lists of older residents in nearby counties to laser target only the most qualified prospects for his service. Timing is also very important for Medicare sales since people can only enroll in Medicare from January 1 to March 31 – so we made sure to hit his lists several times over that time span.

He made roughly $40,000 for a 345% ROI!
